Do you sometimes wonder why you can’t see yourself represented in history books? Well, we got you covered with our artistic retelling, The Big Up! Our members have been busy researching and recovering forgotten role models from a bunch of archives around the country.

The Big Up was conceptualised as a virtual exhibit when our members found that educators and young people alike, had a lack of diverse historical characters to draw from when authentically telling the history of minority presence in Britain. So this project aims to connect young people to their heritage by making it accessible and enjoyable.
